Carrie Franko, Citadel Guidance Counseling Intern and Melinda Rosado, School Guidance Counselor

On October 18, 2011 Whole Foods’ Slow Food Charleston’s traveling “Truck Farm” visited Belle Hall Elementary. Maya Morrill, Whole Foods Demo Chef, and Healthy Eating Educator, Bonne Anderson, provided a cooking demonstration on site using plants from the “Truck Farm”. Bonne also educated the students about ways to prepare healthy food that grows in a garden, much like the “Truck Farm”. Third grade Belle Hall Elementary students participated in the program and had the opportunity to view the truck garden and taste the prepared food.
