My Biography

I have been teaching for 30 years, with 25 years teaching in the SAIL Program. I began teaching SAIL at Belle Hall when it opened in 1989.  Previous teaching experience includes third grade and middle school math.

I grew up on Sullivan’s Island, where I attended Sullivan’s Island Elementary and graduated from Wando High School. I attended the College of Charleston, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.   I obtained my National Board certification in 2001.

Four years ago, my husband, Milton, and I moved back to Sullivan’s Island. We are the proud parents of two grown children, Genevieve and Milt. We are also the proud grandparents of seven-year old, Ariana.  My entire family is environmentally aware.

My family and I have traveled extensively. We feel fortunate to to live and work in the LowCountry.
