Student Council

The BHE Student Council is made up of student-elected representatives from 4th and 5th grade. Students meet weekly to plan events and activities that help foster a sense of community within our school, promote values that represent good character, and help others by raising awareness for charitable causes. In the past, student council has promoted food drives and Unity Day. 

Student Council has enjoyed an action-packed year! In the fall, the council rallied students to bring in canned goods for the Lowcountry Food Bank with the Clemson/Carolina food drive. Later on, Student Council solicited donations for Toys for Tots. Lowcountry Pet Helpers benefitted from Student Council's March pet supply drive. Finally, student council communicated the need for new soccer goals on the playground. Over the course of a year, they persisted in their requests, and PTA was able to fund the equipment. Upcoming events include our Campus Clean Up in April and our Police and Firefighter Appreciation in May.
