Student Council

The BHE Student Council is made up of student-elected representatives from 4th and 5th grade. Students meet weekly to plan events and activities that help foster a sense of community within our school, promote values that represent good character, and help others by raising awareness for charitable causes. In the past, student council has promoted food drives and Unity Day. This year, our student council looks forward to organizing projects that improve BHE and our greater community. Mrs. Jill Cragg is the sponsor for Student Council. 

Student Council was busy during the 2023-2024 school year!  With Student Council's promotion, the BHE school community donated a total of 400 toys on December 13th with Mrs. Rainsford's 5th grade class donating the most with 51 toys! The Clemson vs. Carolina Food Drive in November, also arranged by Student Council, resulted in the donation of 2,039 items. This equates to 1,995 pounds of food. In the spring, Student Council hosted a Community Clean Up day in honor of Earth Day! So many families showed up to help keep our campus beautiful.
